Day after Thanksgiving

The popularity of the day can be attributed to a number of factors. The day before, many people have gorged themselves on Thanksgiving dinner and there is this sense by many that it would be a good thing if they got out and walked. Also, many employers give their employees the day after Thanksgiving off. This, coupled with the desire of retailers to reach as many people as possible with liberal hours and fantastic door-busting sales, creates a perfect storm. Some retailers, in recent years, have extended their hours even further by opening on Thanksgiving Eve.

This would be taking Back Friday to a different kind of level, the experience would be off of the charts. The Jackson area has some great shopping venues and restaurants that could be a part of your experience. But think about it for a minute. If you drive yourself and your friends on this day of all days, you will be constantly fighting the masses to get to your destinations and to find parking places that aren't a mile away from your desired stops. If you have driven on Back Friday in the past, you know we are telling the truth. It can be an absolutely maddening experience to go through.
